As a photographer wanting to maintain a signature style, of course I’ve always known that it’s important for me to express that style in all my photos. Over the past few years, I’ve learned that this signature style is also expressed in every aspect of my business! I’ve started paying a lot of attention to how I package the collection for each wedding. While I make each package unique to the couple depending on their wedding, I always include a beautiful card to express gratitude for them in trusting me with their big day. I absolutely love shopping for these cards – I can never resist dipping into the stationary section of any store, even if just to browse through and admire all the pretty designs! Personally, I love designs with a vintage style: faded pastels and gold (or rose gold) accents.

Of course, everyone has a unique aesthetic. A couple’s wedding day is one amazing way for the pair to express their love – and collaborate to show their interests and express themselves creatively. In fact, my second favorite thing about weddings is to document the uniqueness of every couple (first, of course, being the entire reason for the day – love!) I know firsthand how exciting it is to have an idea – just an inkling of a vision – and then later bring it to fruition. Brides and grooms have this same opportunity with this event – and they can start with wedding invitations that reflect their unique aesthetic!

I mentioned earlier that I love looking at cards at the store. One thing I’ve noticed is that I often find cards that have a lot of the elements that I love, but a few things are “off.” Luckily, the beautiful card designs at BasicInvite.com are highly customizable: they are so unique to each couple that no two cards are exactly alike. The color selection is almost unlimited – over 180 color options for every element of the card, and 40 envelope colors! (Oh, and the envelopes are peel and seal – much more secure, and no licking required.) Additionally, each wedding invitation can be ordered as part of a set – you can also order matching save the dates, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs and thank you cards!

A lot of people would understandably want to see these cards in person before ordering them in bulk – luckily, Basic Invite does allow their customers to order a printed sample of the actual invitation that THEY designed. This way, they can see their own card in person and have a sample of the actual material quality before placing their final order. They’re one of only a few websites to offer this service!
